Thank you, Google Images, because that is exactly how I feel. I've worked about 90 hours in the last 6 business days for a big deadline, and have been sucking down the coffee just to survive. Today I had a total of 8 espresso shots!
Why the heck did I ever worry that I would have nothing to do after our wedding? I thought I would have oh so much free time, and be bored out of my little mind.
Yeah, not so much!
Work is kicking my ass (hello, busy time of the year! And it'll stay busy through mid January.) and we've just got a ton going on right now. Looking at my calendar, we don't have a single free weekend between now and mid-November. 2 concerts, 3 out of town trips, a wedding I'm very excited to attend, Halloween, husband's birthday (also a trip weekend), and poof! It will be Thanksgiving!
Plus, making our 5 year life plan more solidified, and trying to figure out how soon we can buy a house in a real estate market that is at least 4x more expensive than almost anywhere else in the country is way more time consuming that I thought it would be. Talking and discussing over the years about what we wanted was definitely the easy part. But putting things into crazy-big excel spreadsheets and inputting the many "what if's" and the "let's look at this scenario" have been a huge drain on our free time (and this is coming from someone who loves spreadsheets and is very proficient with Excel!).
It's funny....I didn't realize how much was on hold the last year with all the constant wedding planning.
But we're moving forward, slowly making things happen (or making plans for things to happen), so that's the good news. The bad news? I'm a bad little blog neglecter. But I really need to concentrate on getting my wedding recaps done, because maintaining two blogs takes way more time than I have to give. Plus, it's cutting into my new TV time!
So please excuse me, and my light posting around here for a while. I need to go make dinner, have a glass of wine, watch Glee, and then get some much needed sleep. Which for tonight at least, is my priority over writing and scheduling blog posts! :)
Tell me, newlyweds, were you more busy after your wedding than you expected you would be?

Ugh indeed! Go M Go, you can do it. Hope to see you before Dec 1, and hope all your dreams and wishes come true!!
My job is the opposite! I blog surf all day. (Shh, don't tell) Our busy time is July and August.
There's too many good shows on this season! I've taken over the remote at our house.
Enjoy your glass of wine and Glee! You deserve a good relax :D
Wow, you are really busy right now! I'm so happy that you're excited for our wedding :) Hope you enjoyed Glee! I know what you mean about not having time for fall TV . . . I missed the season premiere of Gossip Girl (didn't even know it was starting) and only caught half of the season premiere of House last night - so sad because those are the only two shows I really watch. Hang in there, lady!
I totally hear you, because I've been very overwhelmed lately myself. Between work, grad school, blogging, volunteering with a charity, and just trying to handle other personal things, it's been crazy! I hope you got to relax a bit with Glee and some wine. Some time for ourselves definitely needs to be a priority now and then! :)
I'm definitely WAY busier than I thought I'd be post-wedding!
Amen about having two blogs being challenging!!!! I wish I could blog for a job :)
Enjoy your glass of wine and Glee! You deserve a good relax :D
