This is getting out of control, guys!
Literally, like 3 minutes after I just hit publish on my last post about the deer I saw in our yard yesterday, I just saw a fox in our yard!!
Yes, I'm working in the basement room again today, in hopes to see more deer. :)
And last night, I thought I might have seen what I thought was a fox, but it was nearly dark out, so it might have been a cat, with a really poofy tail, carrying something dead in it's mouth. And I didn't get a photo of it, so without proof, I didn't even think it was worth mentioning in my last post.
But guys, it was the cutest little fox!! I don't think I've ever seen one in the wild before, only at zoos. And he totally walked across our patio under the deck right in front of me, and laid down in the sun on our lawn for a bit, all the while I could see the shadows of 2 of my cats watching him from the deck above.
But enough excited blabber, here are some pics of the little cutie.
Here is where I first spotted him.
Walking right across the patio, super close to the sliding doors I was looking through.
Taking a quick nap in the sunny yard.
Such a beautiful animal!
I think since the fox seemed to be ignoring my cats up on the deck (and that he's probably been around the whole time we've lived here), and he's not much bigger than my fattest cat, I hope I don't have anything to worry about with them getting in fights. It probably would have already happened if it was going to anyway.
But I'm pretty sure that this means I do have to officially move my office to the other room. Only two days with this many animal sightings means I've been missing out big time!

I miss seeing wildlife! I see some 'gulls on the bay and we saw a fox in Muir Woods the other week. Wildlife is around, I just have to hunt around for it! (Not literal hunting, but you know what I mean.)
So cute! Lucky you - my grandparents lived in the woods when I was growing up. We'd look forward to going to their house because we could see foxes, deer and wild turkeys in their backyard if we were patient enough :)
So cute!! Definitely move your office! :D we saw a deer roaming our neighborhood street the other day which was bizarre, but definitely nothing as cool as a fox!!
Awesome!! I saw my first fox the other day too, but it was dark and he was far away so I didn't get amazing pictures like these!
He's adorable!! I hope he doesn't bother the cats...I have no idea if foxes tend to get in scuffles with cats!
Wow Morgan! He got super close girl. He's beautiful, but keep your distance. They are still WILD (as you already know). Awesome shots girl! :D

Awesome! That fox is so beautiful and it's amazing he came so close! Great photos :)
What a cutie!!!
That is a pretty fox! :D
Oh my gosh!! How exciting!! I've never seen a fox in my neighborhood, but I've heard they're around so I'm hoping to see one!
Where do you live, Narnia?! HAHA this is crazy! I'm requesting swans next week, ok?
agreed with kim a. - cute but WILD. looks like a youngin' too - we have a wild fox who lives somewhere along our road (rural ontario, canada) and when they howl/call, it is the. most. ear-splitting. sound. ever. seriously horrendous. so if you are ever awakened in the wee hours by something that sounds like the lovechild of nails on a chalkboard and squealing tires, it's your little foxy friend :(
this is such a great catch of the fox in your backyard! nature and wildlife are quite amazing.
N worries about the fox getting the cats. They only go after animals they know they can overpower. Our maine coon got out last year, and we had 2 foxes around, so I googled the crap out of foxes to make sure they wouldn't go after our cat until we found him. We finally found him 30 days later without a scratch on him, and he was living in the same area as the foxes!!
You definitely need to move your office so you can watch all the animals! How cool is it that you can watch deer and a fox in your own back yard!
oh i love that the fox took a little nap in your yard!
That is definitely the most close-up I have ever seen a fox. Wow. Cool photos! :)
Wow, that's amazing. I've never seen a fox outside of a zoo either. You definitely must move your office so you get that view! :)
How adorable is that little fox?? I love wildlife and that is amazing that you spied him in your own backyard! Thanks for sharing the pictures :)
Awesome pictures! The fox is adorable. I vote for definitely moving your office!

Oh wow..I swear I saw a fox this weekend crossing the highway..I thought I was crazy but now this confirms it...we've taken over their territories! Makes me a little sad!
