From left to right: ikat pillows (on clearance, similar to these), curtain rod, lamp shade, teal lamp base, tripod floor lamp (I got two), white comforter, white grommet curtains, fun polka dot sheets, crochet pillows, ruffled pillow
My main objective though was to buy this lamp. Which meant I had to go to a second Target when the one closest to us was sold out of it. This lamp is my accent color inspiration, so I needed to pick it up so I can do some paint color matching. So I figured I might as well pick up a bunch of other things I needed too!
Getting all of these guest room accessories means we're one step closer to having a usable guest room, and I can't wait to actually set everything up in the room.
But first there's the little matter of building a board and batten style headboard. For which I purchased and cut wood for yesterday, but still need to actually assemble the headboard (and add trim on the top, not pictured), and paint it the same color of teal as the new bedside lamp. Tutorial and details to follow!
Then there's an apothecary table I need to paint, that will work as a bedside table, and I'll also be painting some bookshelves to go in the guest room as well. Not to mention finding art for the walls, and making a sunburst mirror (the ones at Target were too small for what I wanted). And I want to make this Ana White cubby bench to put at the end of the bed, which will be nice for guest to put suitcases on.
And of course, I've still got some painting to finish up, before I can even start bringing furniture into the room.
But things are definitely coming along! I have a feeling this might be one of the first rooms in our house that we finish, since other than paint, there's not much that needs work to the room itself, and we've already got the bulk of the accessories taken care of, thanks to my 4th of July shopping spree.
Did anyone else do any shopping yesterday to take advantage of the holiday sales? Any other fans of the home department at Target? I can't help wandering through that department every time I go there, which is how I knew exactly what I was shopping for when it came time to accessorize our guest room!
(and no, Target didn't sponsor this post or anything, I just love their prices and happen to shop there a lot.)

LOVE everything you got!!!
I love the Target home department (and every department, actually)! We ended up mostly staying indoors yesterday, since it was just SO hot. I can't wait for the temps to cool so that I can actually head outside again without melting.

That first picture gave me mega jealousy. All the colors/patterns go SO WELL together. Especially loving the ikat element. Very well done!!!! And I'm with you... Target home FTW, I almost always find exactly what I didn't know I needed!

Great finds! We don't have a Target here, so I rarely get to go, but I really love the home department there too. Can't wait to see how it all comes together!
