I hope you guys all have a wonderful weekend planned. Mine will be extra busy, since we will be celebrating my husband's birthday, which was earlier this week.
Happy birthday dude!
Making a friend in Key Largo. I still need to recap our Florida trip, ugh!
We will be plugging away at the bathroom this weekend, still working on touching up the walls and painting the wainscoting and trim. And hopefully picking out a paint color for the walls. I swear, it's driving me insane! Green is such a hard color to choose, especially when I have it in my mind what I want, but when I paint the sample on the wall, it doesn't look right. And the room is especially hard with all of the natural light in the day and the incandescent lighting at night.
I'm also in full swing craft mode for the charity auction I'm working on. I've got 640 fabric flowers to knock out in the next week, and countless hours cutting on the Silhouette machine. I hope to share those projects soon, since I'm having a lot of fun working on something more crafty, and less major renovationy. It's almost like planning a mini wedding, with 35 tables to make centerpieces for, and yards and yards of garland to decorate the fronts of the silent auction tables.
Anyway, hope you all have a great weekend, and stay warm if it's going to be cold where you are. We're supposed to be in the 70's this weekend, but will be back down to normal chilly fall weather next week.

Have a great weekend, and happy birthday to your husband! I hope you find the right shade of green for the bathroom. That kind of stuff drives me crazy, too!
Have a nice weekend!! I was wondering if you'll be using an eggshell/semigloss/satin/basically non-matte paint for the bathroom, which is common? Because I always have problems with the color I want and the color I get because of the glossiness, even if it's very slight!! Gray always looks purplish or periwinkle (like in my daughter's nursery)!
Hi Jennifer,
For bathrooms, I mainly see semi gloss recommended, because it's easy to wipe clean, and can handle a few water splashes. But we are actually doing the beadboard wainscoting in semi gloss (with polyurethane over that), so are going with an eggshell for the paint on the top half of the wall. Mainly because I want the contrast, and not too much glossy-on-glossy.
I actually really like Benjamin Moore's Natura line because it's low VOC and the eggshell finish isn't overly glossy, but it cleans a whole lot better than a flat paint. It's what we've used so far in every room of our house, and the Ben Moore sample pots and the Natura paint are a spot-on match for color. We actually found a color in the Natura that will work for us this weekend!
