I'm headed across the country for a super quick trip to California for my aunt's wedding, so I thought I'd share the outfit I've put together. Wedding guest outfits are always a sensitive subject, it seems. You can't wear too much white, black is still considered a no-no by some, and you have to dress appropriately for the setting and fanciness of the wedding, while taking into account the weather.
So this is what I will be wearing for a fall wedding, taking place mid-day in a church, with a lunch reception in a nice restaurant afterwards. It's supposed to be around 70 degrees but sunny, so layering is important.
Coral and fushia dress: Modcloth, Black clutch: eBags, Purple necklace: NY&Co, Purple belt: Express, Purple cardigan: J.Crew, Purple patent pumps: Zappos
And since I didn't get to publish this post before the wedding, I have an OOTD photo to share, wearing the outfit at the reception. By then it was too warm for the cardigan, but I'm glad I had it to wear in the cool church earlier that day.
I am in love with the retro cut of this dress, and the fact that coral is a color that can work year-round, you just have to pair it with darker accessories in the fall and winter.
Have you attended any fall weddings yet this year?

I love love love that dress!! I don't have any weddings to attend this year but love your color combo there.
Suuuuuper cute dress!
Cute! I am looking for a fall wedding dress for a wedding that's in... a week. haha. I seem to own a lot of black or more casual dresses.
Love the look! I have actually yet to attend any fall weddings this year since I've been so occupied with other trips and obligations. Next year should definitely have a few on the horizon, though!
I think you styled this dress perfectly for fall. I like how you gave a further nod to retro style by matching all the accessories. Hope you had a great time in California :)
