For the short of it, you can see the mini 'About Me' in my side bar.
But for the long of it, you've come to the right place!
These days I mainly blog to share what I'm up to with my family and blog friends, but I started blogging about my wedding planning journey in August of 2009, over at my old blog, the Handcrafted Hitching Post, named after the Hitching Post Chapel in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho where my parents eloped. I loved writing about DIY crafts, dress shopping, 6 foot tall cupcake towers, and making tutorials so much that I applied to blog for Weddingbee, and became known over there as Miss Cola (now Mrs. Cola).
My husband and I got married in a redwood-lined meadow, overlooking the San Francisco bay in June of 2010, and have since been making lots and lots of plans for our life together.
Since our wedding, we've definitely been busy. In spring 2011 we uprooted our entire lives to move 2,800 miles across the country, from the San Francisco bay area to the much more affordable Raleigh-Durham area in North Carolina. It wasn't an easy decision to leave the west coast, but was totally worth it. We recently (in March 2012) bought our first home in Raleigh, NC, and I
have a feeling that we'll eventually be replacing or updating every
square inch in our house. We bought a "project house" for a reason, and are loving making it our own!
My days are filled with working in Marketing Communications, but in the evenings and on weekends you'll find me crafting, trying to learn how to cook, playing with (or being annoyed by) my fur baby kitties, being inspired by home décor, and planning our next travel adventure. I love anything with garlic on it, wine, Captain Morgan and diet cokes, collecting shoes, making lists, hiking, camping, carbs (even though they’re evil), online shopping, photography, watching TV while reading blogs, and of course I love my husband, and our little family!
