One of my favorite things every morning before going to work is stopping by Starbucks for my daily caffeine fix.
Other than the fact that I love (and am fully addicted to) coffee, I adore the employees at my Starbucks. Every morning, whomever is working the register asks me “The usual?” or “Will you be having your usual?”
It’s sort of like my own little Cheers, because everyone knows my name, and my drink! :)
And even better, sometimes when the line is long, they’ll start my drink before I even get to the register, so it’s ready by the time I’m paying. It’s a huge time saver, and makes me appreciate the Starbucks staff even more!
That’s why, unlike a lot of Starbucks haters, I have no problem shelling out $4.65, five times a week. The amazing customer service, quick in and out, and me being generally too lazy or running too late to make my own at home (and my espresso machine is busted) makes Starbucks worth the price to me.
So yes, I’ll have my usual. Today and every work day! Because even in the winter I always drink the same drink, an iced venti skinny vanilla latte with an add-shot.
TIP: did you know that all Starbucks iced ventis automatically come with 3 shots? And their hot ventis only come with 2, for the same price as the iced. I need my extra free shot too much, so that’s why I always go iced…and add another shot on top of that!
