I can't even tell you how excited I am to go to the salon this weekend for a much needed cut and highlights.
I usually go every 2 1/2 to 3 months, but this time it's been almost 4 months--since right before our wedding! My schedule has just been too crazy to fit it in. But my roots definitely need some love, and my hair is always less frizzy after being colored, as you can see from these pics.
And no, I won't be doing a "post wedding chop." I love my long hair, even though it takes a lot of time and products. But I think I'll get my layers trimmed up a little higher than normal. That way it will look more wavy in the back when I curl it, instead of the curls just concentrated at the bottom like it is now.
Did you do (or will you do) a post wedding chop? And does anyone have anything more fun than a haircut planned for this weekend?

(This is after being blow dried straight, straightened with a wide curling iron, and then curling the ends under. Still kinda frizzy.)
(My roots bug the heck out of me, but actually aren't that bad. I always get 3 colors of highlights put in, 2 shades of blonde and my natural light brown, so the grow out looks more natural.)

Your hair is so pretty! You do yours the way I used to. Big barrel curling iron was the only thing I used. No straighteners! But now that mine is shoulder length, I'll have to go get one.
Have fun! I always feel so great after going to the salon. I got my hair cut a little after the wedding, but it's gotten long again now. I like my hair longer, but since it's thick, frizzy, and takes so much time to style, I'm actually looking into getting permanent straightening.
You seriously have the best hair! I'm so jealous, mine could never be that long :) Have fun at the salon - sounds like a great weekend to me right about now.
I've always admired your hair color - as a Japanese girl, I just can't pull off that rich blond color! I have A LOT of thick hair too, so I know all about frizz and pouf. Your hair looks like it's behaving itself, so pretty!
All of us with our haircuts lately!!!!! I used to have my hair that long but it wasn't as full (it's as thick, but it's too sleek/shiny and gets really hang-y and flat because it's so heavy. WAH.)
I think your hairstyle looks AWESOME on you and I wouldn't change it either!!!!
