I do have another two weeks of outfits already put together though, so I think I'll continue for just a couple more weeks, and then put my work from home outfit posts to bed, at least for a while. Twelve weeks of summery outfits is a lot, but there's only so many clothes in my closet, some of which I just don't feel like wearing for the sake of my "no repeats" rule. Maybe I'll bring the series back come fall or winter though, who knows!
Anyway, on with last week's outfits.
Monday:
This week I did things a little backwards, and I moved my usual not-so-casual-Friday outfit to Monday, since I knew we had different plans for Friday.
Wine Red Halter Dress: Victoria's Secret
Red, Bronze and Gold Brocade Heels: Madeline
Tuesday:
Remember how last week I said I couldn't wait for fall fashion already? Well, I knew this day I wouldn't be going outside (I know, the beauty of working from home!), so decided to break out some skinny jeans and boots, just for fun. I really miss all my boots, and can't wait until it's cool enough out to wear them more often!
Ruffled Peasant Blouse: Target, Skinny Jeans: also Target, Brown Braided Headband: no idea because it's really old, but it wouldn't surprise me if it was from Target too!
Brown Strappy Boots: Bumper
Wednesday:
And Wednesday I went back to casual sundresses. After getting my fall boots fix, I started getting excited about our trip to the beach this past weekend, so this sunny sundress seemed perfect to get me in a going-to-the-beach mood!
Yellow Sundress: Victoria's Secret, Earrings, Bracelet and Sunglasses: You guessed it, Target
Yellow Ruffle Wedges: Mudd
I loved my wavy hair this day. I've been playing around with some new styling techniques and hair products that actually hold up in the crazy southern humidity--yes, this picture was taken in late afternoon, after I ran a bunch of errands at lunch, and my waves were still going strong. Maybe a hair post is in order?
Tank Top: Gap (I also have a matching cardi), Brown Skirt: Victoria's Secret, Necklace and Earrings: I've had them since high school, so probably Claires
Maroon and Brown Studded Heels: Michael Antonio (of course, almost all of my 'statement heels' are by him!)
Friday:
Like I said earlier, I had different plans than my usual dress up and go out to dinner Friday. We left mid-afternoon to go to the beach, so beachy chic was the look I went for today. No need to change before we left!
Green and Blue Strapless Dress: Victoria's Secret, Blue and Brown Swimsuit Underneath: Target, Belt: Target, Bracelet and Earrings: Target (I'm sure you're surprised)
Brown and Bronze Flip Flops: Old Navy
Didn't my legs look oddly tan this whole week? Ok, ok, they're still pretty pale for most people. I meant oddly tan for me!
That's because in preparation for going to the beach, I was using this rub on tanner that Katie of Ruffles and Truffles recommended a while back. I also used it prior to our trip to Florida, and I can definitely say that I recommend it too. My skin really just doesn't tan naturally (I usually go lobster red, then peel, then back to being pale, so these days I just use SPF 70 and camp out under an umbrella or hat to not get burnt), so it's nice to finally have a tanning lotion that doesn't turn me orange, and not have to worry quite as much about blinding people at the beach with my pale skin!
Does your skin tan naturally, or do you also rely on fake tanners when going to the beach? Also, do you have any go-to hair products that hold up in humidity? I've found that the anti-humidity stuff I used to use in California is a complete fail here in North Carolina, and am really loving the new stuff I've been using, but I'm open to more suggestions!

Cute outfits, as usual! I love that Victoria's Secret dress, and the skinny jeans/tall boots look. Super adorable! Hope you had fun at the beach!
I love the red dress from day 1. It looks fantastic on you. My other favorites are the yellow dress- so summery and fun and your hair on the same day. I think you are correct, you need a post on how you make your hair look so good. Those heels on Thursday are fantastic!!
Boots! It's almost too hot to wear them around these here parts, but I'm also dying for cooler weather so I can break mine out!
I hope you bring this series back in the fall & winter--I love getting style inspiration from you! :)
You've done an awesome job with this series! I've loved reading it. I have a Snow White complexion, so I don't even try to use faux tanners or anything, since I don't like how any of them look on me. This past week in St. Maarten, I did get a bit darker, but that's because I got burnt despite wearing SPF 85! LOL. As for humidity, I have my hair permanently straightened. It's expensive, but it's the only thing that works for me.
You always have such cute outfits!
Ooh I'm so glad to hear that you like the Xen Tan as well! It definitely helped me out when I was in limbo between winter and spring! I hate being pasty.
You always have such cute outfits!
