I survived the 5k Color Me Rad on Saturday. It was seriously so much fun! We are already planning more elaborate outfits for next year's race.
I started out so clean that morning.
At the start line, everyone looking all clean in their white shirts.
Self portrait taken after jogging though the second color bomb station.
Pausing for pictures after station number 4.
And again at the finish line, after 5 color bomb stations every kilometer.
But the fun wasn't over yet. We took our own color bomb packets to the color party.
And we all went wild opening our packets up and spraying the air with more color.
And at the end of the morning, I walked away looking like this.
It was so much fun! Especially going out to lunch afterwards looking like this. The restaurant was actually very nice about it, which was a good thing because there were several groups there that had come straight from the race like we did.
I can't wait to do this again next year, and I have definitely been inspired to be on the lookout for more fun 5ks to sign up for!
Have you done any "fun run" type 5ks?

You're so brave for going out to lunch immediately afterwards! I could barely stand sitting in the car for the ride to our apartment :)
So so so much fun!!
How FUN!! Oooo let me know if you do this next year, I'll do it with you! You know, once I'm in the mood to start exercising again. :)
all of the color at the end of this race looks like so much fun! you look like you had a blast ;)
Jess and I did the Color Run a month back and it was sooo much fun! You should definitely look into holiday races in December. People have fun dressing up in reindeer antlers, santa hats, etc. I've already rounded up 5 friends to join me for a Jingle Bell 5k near by. They give you jingle bells as part of your race packet and it benefits a arthritis foundation, I think.
I think my husband and I just signed up for that same Jingle Bell run, but in Raleigh. Yay!
That looks like so much fun! I'm dying to do a race like that - so, so cool!
A friend of mine did a Superhero fun run where you had to go dressed as a superhero. If you forgot to bring a costume they gave you a bin bag to make into a cape and an eye mask to wear. At two points on the circuit spectators could pelt the runners with wet sponges, great fun.
I don't think I've seen anything like your Colour run over here :-(
Congrats on the run! This looks like a ton of fun, and you look so happy :)
That is so cool! I need to find some races like this that will make running fun for me, since I've really lapsed out of it this year.
