And while time has been short to work on other things, I have managed to do quite a bit of online shopping, to start accessorizing some of our more neglected rooms. And one of the things I'm most excited about was delivered yesterday!
I don't know if you're familiar with Socitey6, but they are a great source for art prints, and even allow you to upload your own artwork to sell. I discovered them about a year ago when searching for art for the living room in our old house. So a few weeks ago I was happy to see on Pinterest that they'd started offering throw pillows.
And after browsing hundreds of pages of pillows, I bookmarked a TON of options. I'm not even kidding, their selection is amazing (and no, this isn't a sponsored post, I'm just really excited about all the options!). There were so many pillows I liked for our new family room couch, and narrowing it down wasn't easy. I even ended up playing around with Photoshop to look at the different options I was considering, and how they will go with our new 8' x 10' rug that I ordered (sadly, backordered until 2/1) and the coffee table we're planning to build.
And now they're here, bright and happy and making our new couch look a whole lot more cheerful!
And while I definitely could have just made the pillows myself, given our time crunch and everything else we have to get done before we'll have house guests, and how long it would have taken me to track down all of these fun fabrics, I'm happy I just decided to buy instead of DIY for once. The pillows really are well made too.
It rarely happens, but sometimes I really am more happy to just buy something, even though I could make it myself! Plus, I'm too busy painting guest room furniture and DIY'ing wall art and building our fireplace facade to worry about making pillows, when the ones I bought are just so cute. :)
Do you prefer to make your own pillows, or do you just buy them? Got any other great online sources for adorable pillows?

I love the colors!
I love the prints that you went with! While I made the pillows to go on our couch, I've purchased all other pillows in our house (mainly the ones that go with our bedding).
They look great! I definitely buy my pillows rather than making them, but maybe it's something I'll try out someday.
Great picks! I'm currently sitting on a MONUMENTAL pillow project and although I've saved a ton of money I'm not really sure I would do it again... We have a PB pillowback sofa whose pillows are sad and listless. I'm doublestuffing the ones I'm making, but it's taking fo-rev-errrrrr. I love the prints you picked, and that deer one is cute!
Cute pillows! Sometimes it's definitely easier to buy than make :)
Cute colors. They add a great pop of color in the room.
Eek! They are so so cute!
these pillows are just so awesome! i really like the mix of pattern and the shade of blue you chose ;)
Those are super cute pillows!!! :) Where did you get your couch?
Hi Alvina, it's the Karlstad couch from Ikea ( http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/S69840434/#/S09889174), in "lindo beige"
I LOVE Society 6, truly a great resource. These pillows look great in your home.
