So, I'm not sure I like my new haircut. :(
I'm giving it a couple days to mess around with styling it, but right now it's looking like crap unless I spiral curl it all, which I did today. But I usually only curl my hair that much 2-3 times a week, and just curl the ends of my layers under the rest of the time. I'm not sure I want to have to do it every single day, since it takes about 45 minutes.
I haven't taken a picture yet, but will later this week once I make my final decision--if I can't live with it as-is, I'm going to have to go back to the salon to do some damage control. Basically right now my request for "chunky layers, with the top layer hitting just longer than my shoulders, and the rest of the layers cascading down my back" turned into 1 way too thick layer just longer than my shoulders, and the bottom layer, 3/4ths down my back. No in between layers! Or at least that's what it's ending up looking like after I wash and blow dry it, hence the need to spiral curl it all to blend the two weird layers.
This is not making for a good Monday, people!

:( That is the worst. My hair is definitely a HUGE part of my identity so I understand how much a crappy cut and/or color job can suck. Give it a few more days and if you really don't like it, your stylist will appreciate the honesty when you go back to ask for a fix.
Aww, boo! I'm sure it's not as bad as you think, but if it is, you definitelty have the right to demand a re-cut, for free! See you tonight :)
Aw man, sucky haircuts are the worst! Good luck!
I know how you feel, I wasn't crazy about my cut at first and am still debating on whether to have layers put in.
I'm sure you look gorgeous as always!
Aw, I'm sorry you don't like it :( Sounds like your stylist just needs to thin out the top layer so it blends better. And don't wait too long, a lot of salons will only recut within a week of the first cut.
I'm so sorry to hear that. :( I think you're right to give it a few days and then head back if you don't feel better about it. I'll keep my fingers crossed that things work out.
I am ANALLLLL about my hair so I feel you. I say no shame in going back if you have issues!!!! Better to just get it fixed than try to deal with it.
